Terms of service
General
- These Terms and Conditions apply to all sales of furniture and interior objects (“Pieces”) by Otzi Limited (Company No. 12090037) (“OTZI”) to the customer. By paying an invoice or placing an order via email, phone, or website, the customer agrees to be bound by these Terms.
Orders & Bespoke Commissions
- Most OTZI Pieces are made-to-order or bespoke.
- For bespoke commissions, the specifications (dimensions, materials, finishes) will be confirmed in the invoice. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure these details are correct before processing the deposit.
Subsequent Variations & Design Changes
- Variations and changes to the details agreed in this invoice may be subject to additional charges.
Payment Terms
- Our standard payment terms are a 50% non-refundable deposit to secure the commission and schedule production, with balance due upon completion and prior to shipment.
- Pieces remain the property of OTZI until the final balance is paid in full.
- For international orders, payments must be made in the currency specified on the invoice.
Lead Times & Delivery
- Estimated lead times are provided at the time of order (typically 6–12 weeks). These are estimates only and begin from the date the deposit is received.
- OTZI will notify the customer once the Piece is ready for shipment.
- Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer is responsible for all import duties, local taxes, and customs clearance fees in the destination country.
Natural Variations & Craftsmanship
- OTZI prides itself on material integrity. Customers acknowledge that timber and leather are natural materials. Variations in grain, texture, colour, and natural markings (including "character" marks in oak bark leather) are inherent characteristics of the material and are not considered defects.
- Each Piece is hand made. As a consequence, slight variations between individual items may occur, and the Piece will bear the marks of having passed through the workshop.
Returns, Repairs & Refurbishment
- Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, made-to-order and bespoke items are exempt from the standard 14-day return period.
- If a Piece is found to have a structural defect due to craftsmanship, OTZI will repair or replace the item at its discretion.
- Damage resulting from misuse, environmental conditions (e.g., extreme humidity / heat), or natural wear and tear is not covered.
Site Readiness & Delivery Conditions
- Responsibility for the protection of the Piece passes to the client immediately upon delivery. OTZI is not liable for damage caused on site.
Storage Fees:
- Goods not collected/delivered within 14 days of completion notification may incur storage fees.
Intellectual Property
- All designs, drawings, and technical specifications remain the exclusive intellectual property of OTZI. No part of the designs may be reproduced without express written permission.
Liability & Governing Law
- OTZI’s total liability for any claim shall not exceed the price paid for the Piece.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
